We conduct a full evaluation to determine whether you're a good candidate. In general, suitable candidates include individuals who:

Experience four or more episodes of acute sinusitis per year
Have a history of nasal polyps
Have a previous failed sinus surgery

Are in good overall health

You might not be a good candidate if you:

Have acute sinusitis

The Propel® procedure is a minimally invasive sinus procedure performed in our office and has a very low risk of side effects or complications. The recovery period is short, and most people experience relief after two or three days, with a full recovery after two or three weeks. Propel® offers a two-in-one benefit that can improve patient symptoms and outcomes:

Mechanical – When deployed, Propel® expands to fill the sinus opening. Their semi-rigid structure stents open the cavity itself, preventing collapse and scar tissue formation.  The result is a wider, more durable opening that is less likely to contract or scar.
Anti-Inflammatory – Propel® is saturated with budesonide, the topical steroid of choice for nasal and sinus inflammation.  The implant gradually releases budesonide into the tissue with which it is in contact. Steroid medication inhibits scar and polyp formation, even after the stent has dissolved.
